Found a good recipe online for waffles which I tweaked a little. I didn’t have a waffle iron so I headed to the Salvation Army Sally Shop. For some reason there is always an abundance of used waffle irons at the Salvation Army shops, Goodwill and thrift stores in general. Maybe once folks move to Hawaii and start eating rice they ditch the waffle irons. I got mine for $2.50 so it was quite the deal.
I opted to not take a photo of the SPAM that I also had with the waffles. Trust me, this was as delicious as it looks with a light crispness on the outside and fluffy inside.
